Delaware River Basin Puts Fracking on Hold
By Rocky Thompson on November 23rd, 2011Ahh, good ol’ government bureaucracy to the rescue. The Delaware River Basin Commission has postponed opening the area to fracking for natural gas. It seems the practice of pumping poison into the Earth is only acceptable when we don’t want to do it in a beautiful place that people also like to visit. The commission has required an Environmental Impact Statement before they move forward and allow the mining practice to take place. Chock up a win for the environmentalists. And anyone else who cares about the Earth.
