Two Wisconsin teenagers got a lesson in the pervasiveness of social media on one’s life when they posted information about an owl they’d stolen from a raptor center on their Facebook pages. The police still haven’t recovered the owl, which can’t hunt for itself and relies on people for its food. They’re not sure how much time they’ll have to find the bird before it starves. It’s been a fixture at the raptor center for 11 years, and several people have offered to donate money for a reward. Police also think that the teens may have had another Harry-Potter-fan friend who helped in the heist, and they’re trying to track him down.
