Patagonia Provisions: Salmon Jerky

By Rocky Thompson on November 16th, 2011

Environmentally friendly clothing and gear manufacturer juggernaut Patagonia is about to conquer a new field – salmon jerky. Based on their site it looks like the launch has been slightly delayed while their suppliers learn about the company’s exacting standards when it comes to marinade. Perhaps they’ll even be the first Food Alliance-certified clothing manufacturer?

Thanks Ian

Specifically high fructose corn syrup. After telling folks how much healthier wild salmon is than farmed salmon, they throw in something that’s really unhealthy. Then, they take down comments that point out their faux pas. I love Patagonia but this really makes one wonder about some of their other claims.

Or better about their other claims? They were working with someone who developed the recipe, realized it didn’t have the best stuff in it, thus prevented it from going out. Now you know they only put out the best :)
