Boulder Says No to Singletrack, Ft. Collins Says Yes to E-Bikes

By Michael Frank, Adventure Journal on November 16th, 2011

Colorado’s Front Range is wrestling over the future of cycling: Boulder gets skunked, or at least its mountain bikers do, since last week the Boulder city council voted to nix any new singletrack for cyclists in the West Trail Study Area. And Ft. Collins, which already has a reputation for great mountain biking, is considering allowing e-bikes — but only on paved paths. The idea is contentious, but with e-bike sales booming, you can bet the electric vs. “analog” debate is going to go national.

Yet another news article about how terrible living in Boulder must be. I wonder if the streets are paved with granola.
