If you get a thrill from putting yourself in life-threatening situations, it harder to imagine a better vacation destination than the Democratic Republic of the Congo. It’s a wonderful place to have the barrel of an AK-47 jammed into your mouth on an airport runway or to hike overnight with these same gun-toting maniacs to a volcano that’s been blasting magma nearly 1,000 feet into the air. A national park in Congo is trying to convince thrill seekers to visit for the volcano and hopefully see gorillas on their hike. Greatest honeymoon ever?
