A sheriff in Southern Utah is turning up the heat on a man who’s been living off the land in the state for several years. By “living off the land” I mean “breaking into cabins and stealing stuff and shooting the places up.” While much of the man’s antics have been harmless, he’s recently been ramping up his firearm eccentricities since he’s been living in the backcountry for the last five to seven years. There’s been one possible sighting of the man in the last few years by a couple of bow hunters who he ran away from on snowshoes, and no one is believed to have ever talked to him. Police believe they’ve found two of his camps, set up deep in the mountains and outfitted with high end camping gear he’s stolen from cabins.
