Aspen is offering rich people the chance to buy a $25,000 season pass that will put them on the first chair up the mountain any day they choose to ski. It would be a lot easier to hate them if they weren’t giving the proceeds from the ski pass sale to support public school and events around World Cup ski racing in Aspen. Oh, those needy World Cup ski racing events! Of course, Aspen will benefit by getting to host these World Cup events that will draw visitors; I suppose that’s why they give some portion to public schools as well, makes them look a bit better.

What are the chances that these rich people are getting up on the mountain early just to feel special about themselves? They also get to the fresh groomers before anyone else?
Rich people seem to constantly complain about skiing (ungroomed) powder.
