Job Creation Takes Precedence Over National Forests

By Rocky Thompson on October 20th, 2011

It sucks not having a job. But at least you can escape to the mountains for a while and not worry about missing work. And now you can go ziplining there. A bill that flew through congress and is ready to be signed into law will make it easier for ski resorts to develop National Forest areas with things for people to do during the summer. You know, things like zip lines, ropes courses…are golf courses allowed?

Ski resorts are already impacted land. It just seems like a more efficient use of public land to utilize them for more than just the winter season. After all, how many people think that summer at a ski resort is a pristine environment anyway? They aren’t.

you know what else sucks about not having a job ? not having money to pay even for a Forest Pass ( cause that shit ain’t free, you know )
    , not to mention $80-100 for ziplining…
