Miller Time, Squaw, 1981
By Rocky Thompson on October 12th, 2011Yes, this video begins with 10 seconds of test patterns. Just pretend you’re 7 years old again and woke up at 4am to watch cartoons. This is a long Miller High Life commercial from 1981 that was shot at Squaw Valley and features two hot-doggin’ members of the ski patrol. It’s no wonder so many of us grew up wanting to go west to ski.

Is that Arlo Guthrie singing?
I’m pretty sure the skiing footage and exterior shots of the lodge were actually shot at Sunshine Village in AB Canada. I’ve enjoyed skiing & plenty of Miller Time there for the last 15 years. I know home when I see it.
