Kiteboarding Near Death Experience

By Rocky Thompson on September 1st, 2011

This kiteboarder’s friend really did a fantastic job keeping him in the frame, he must not have been too worried the guy would end up dead. I think that after a ride like this you hang up your kiteboard for the rest of your life based on two things: 1. You’re lucky to be alive; and 2. You will never achieve a more thrilling ride.

I saw people on Colorado doing this on Lake Dillon and the only reasonable explanation I can come up with is they are no good at actual snowboarding. Hopefully that trend will continue and more of the mountain will be freed up for people that actually rip.

That was hilarious. Stuff like that is funny when nobody dies.

Ben- If there are guys like you hanging at the resort, I’d rather be out on the lake….cause ripping and being the best is of course what it is all about. Just ask Lance Armstrong. (this is SARCASM)
