I see bike theft alerts on blogs from time to time. I wonder how often they’re successful in terms of catching a thief or getting a bike returned. I’m guessing about one time every hundred years or so. But this theft goes beyond bold. An intrepid thief managed to get away with the entire Fox Racing trailer and truck during the middle of the night Monday while the crew was on their way to a bike race in Canada. The blog post is vague on the details of the theft, but I’m guessing they left the truck running while they all ran inside a gas station to grab coffees. The good news is that when you’re driving a stolen truck emblazoned in 200-point font logos and towing a 28-foot trailer also covered in logos, it shouldn’t be too hard to track this down. In fact, it may already have been found.
