First Sit-Skier to Hit Corbet’s Couloir

By Rocky Thompson on March 14th, 2011

Sit-skier Chris Devlin-Young wrote a firsthand account over at Teton AT of his dropping into Jackson Hole’s famous Corbet’s Couloir run a few days ago. Ski Patrol let him and a few friends setup early at the top of Corbet’s on the day after a storm dropped 14 inches of snow. He’s the first sit-skier to make an unaided descent of Corbet’s. It sounds like the hardest part was getting through the deep snow at the top. Well, that and the 30-foot drop.
