A group of Chinese scientists is trying to drum up funds and a team to venture into the mountains and search for the mythical, apelike Yeren, which sounds an awfully lot like the Yeti or Bigfoot. Say what you want about the Chinese abuses of human rights, at least they’re asking for volunteers for the expedition and not using prisoners on death row as bait for their Yeren trap. Similar searches were embarked in the 70s and 80s with no success, but this decade’s search will rely on the latest technology. I’m not sure what Yeren-hunting technology has been developed since 1980s Yeren-heyday, but it probably has something to do with Apple.
