Hiker Accidentally Shoots Self in Butt

A hiker in the Cascades Blewett Pass accidentally shot himself in the butt with a handgun. He wasn’t engaged in some sort of frat hazing incident – he was just trying to find a comfortable way to carry his firearm. He switched it from his holster to his back pocket, and discovered it was actually less comfortable to carry it there after the bullet ripped through his butt and lodged just above his knee. I can’t help but think that could have been avoided with the tiniest bit of commonsense.
