Vitaminwater is Actually Sugarwater, Rules Federal Judge

Coca-Cola, the makers of Vitaminwater, will be banned from marketing their sugary, non-carbonated snack food as promoting a ‘healthy state of physical or mental being.’ They will also not be able to say that it will keep you ‘healthy as a horse,’ though based on the little knowledge I have of horse racing doping and dog food factories, I think they should be allowed to hold onto the later. The judge said that since the syrupy drink is mostly made of sugar and not actually vitamin-loaded water, their marketing claims are misleading to consumers.

    Ha, I never knew that Vitamin water was mostly sugar and actually lacking in the vitamins… definitely a misleading product. Wonder if there is any other investigations into flavored/”enhanced” waters.

    typical bottle contains, per serving, 20% dv of the following vitamins: C, E, B3, B6, B12, B5, and Folic Acid, with 13g of sugar per serving. Each bottle has 2.5 servings, making it around 32 grams of sugar and 50% dv of the above vitamins. You’re better off taking a multivitamin

    Yo, coke fiend. False advertising has been illegal under the FTC Act since 1914. Look it up. You’ve been stuck in the bathroom so long, you missed the whole party.

    Impartant to read lables. Many items are miss represented by television commerials. I mean, look at the toy comerials for kids they make up that toys come to life, and they don’t. Look at diet comerials, not all products work the way they say either. So, if all comerials are made up of what the company wants to portray, why is coca cola differant? There is very little truth in most commercials.
