Photo of First Live Ocelot in Arizona

By Rocky Thompson on July 22nd, 2010

It’s tough to tell from this angle-that could be an ocelot, or it could be a liger. We won’t know until someone gets a picture of the whole thing so we can see if it has a lionhead. This photo was captured with a motion detecting camera as part of the Freedom to Roam and Witness for Wildlife efforts. They’re grassroots organizations that advocate for protected wildlife corridors. Get the whole story at Patagonia’s blog, The Cleanest Line.

Hmm. Ocelots, huh? Arizona, eh? Those things came from the sub tropics. Therefore thru Mexico. Too easy, I’ll stop here.
