Fines Doubled in Wildlife Crossing Zones

By Rocky Thompson on June 10th, 2010

Does anyone out there pay attention to wildlife crossing signs? I always assumed the department of transportation randomly through those signs around as a means of mitigating any liability a money-hungry idiot might try to win in a lawsuit.

Colorado’s governor is poised to sign a bill that would charge double fines in wildlife x-ing zones. It’s a win-win for the state. He gets to look green, and they get to fill the state coffers with double speeding ticket fines.
