Oil Disaster Live Stream
By Rocky Thompson on June 8th, 2010
I’ve been watching this live stream of the oil disaster for about two weeks. It’s mesmerizing. I feel bad when a little gasoline comes off the tiny outboard and gets into the lake - this thing is a fire hose the diameter of a large pizza blasting oil into the ocean. Watching the crude pour out of the containment cap is like watching a stranger bleed profusely out of their head at a bike race or seeing someone lying on the street after getting hit by a car. You’re dying to do something, but you have no idea what you can except to say, “It’s going to be alright,” even though you can hardly believe it yourself.

Eloquently put.
Mesmerizing certainly describes it.
It’s like porn for those who have an unhealthy attraction to producing dirty fossil fuel energy.
There’s a fetish for everything these days you know. Sarah Palin and Bobby Jindal bathe in it daily!
