Loss of a True Mountainman - Jack Hannan

By Rocky Thompson on April 9th, 2010

The world lost another great soul last month when experienced skier Jack Hannan died in an avalanche near Pemberton, BC. His friend, Backcountry.com writer Tanya Christensen penned a fantastic tribute to Hannan on The Backcountry Beacon. I never knew Jack Hannan, but from what I’ve heard he skied jaw-dropping lines, but inspired those around him even more with his patient, kind, and humble attitude. Our thoughts go out to Hannan’s family.
