Weather Exactly the Opposite for Paralympics
By Rocky Thompson on March 17th, 2010
The slightly less popular Paralympics are getting the exact opposite weather that the Olympics suffered from. Icy conditions have caused a bus to slide off the road near Whistler, and heavy snow has been causing problems on the racecourse. At least the Paralympians don’t have to put up with that no talent clown Costas.
In other odd Canadian news, all the backcountry skiers in British Columbia can stop worrying about legislations barring them from skiing outside resorts. There was some concern that the 200 snowmobilers getting swept away in an avalanche might result in new backcountry rules for the province, but the legislature has agreed not to bother protecting people from acting like idiots. It’ll be good for their gene pool.
