Rock Slide in Colorado on I-70

By Rocky Thompson on March 10th, 2010

People who work at Vail and need to commute on I-70 are choosing between a five-hour drive each way or sleeping at their office. A massive rockslide has closed I-70 for at least a few days while they sweep the pebbles off the road. That’s one helluva pebble.

Hate to be a downer, but I have a friend in CDOT and they’re saying more like a few days to get ONE LANE open, up to two months for full repairs.

Oh man I would love to have that rock that those guys are standing on. I’m not sure for what. Maybe to build a house around like that one family did. Or for a backyard boulder problem. I don’t know.
