Stand Up Paddle Surfing Waterfalls

By Rocky Thompson on September 1st, 2009

Dan Gavere runs the voiceover on this two-minute video of him paddling over Punchbowl Falls in Oregon.

I was thinking about the whole Stand Up Paddle vs Rollerbladers thing again today. You know, Rollerbladers were doing a lot of badass stuff when it was still a fringe sport. Skateboarders were trading up to aggressive inline skating. There were vert and street inline disciplines, and I remember seeing some insane crashes from street. I’m just saying; maybe it’s not that bad to have SUP compared to Rollerblading.
