Climate change is bad. We need to fix it. Can we please stop dressing up like clowns now that climate change is finally getting some real attention? You’re making us look like batty leftwing nuts who run around in muscle suits, and frankly, it undermines the seriousness of the problem. Washington is working on a climate change bill. The need for these attention grabbing antics is over. In fact, it only reinforces the idea in climate-change opponents’ heads that people who advocate for legislation against global warming are a bunch of idiots. Why don’t you put on some nice clothes and head to the offices of your reps and see if they’ll take you seriously? Treehugger has the write up on the group of activist Strongmen that treats them with reverence. Come on, Treehugger. We can do better than this.

I love Treehugger but it’s often clear that they’re saving money by not hiring editors.
Totally agree Rocky. This probably sounded “clever” to them, but when you try think about it from a Senator’s perspective you see “silly kids” and it serves to perpetuate an us vs. them culture. This is not helpful.
And what’s almost as bad is that the article attributes Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger to the no-talent a#$ clown Kanye West instead of the original artist Daft Punk. One google search (or some knowledge of music beyond generic TOP 100 HITS radio station) would have caught that.

Except without that attention grabbing stunt, you wouldn’t have written about climate change. Therefore, this shit catches the attention of the unattentive (new) media.
