Pee More with CamelBak Better Bottle

A study conducted by Pepperdine University found that people drink more water when using the CamelBak-style Better Bottle with the sippy cup attachment top instead of traditional screw-top reusable bottles. I’ve never heard of Pepperdine, so I’ll assume it’s some kind of online university where you can print diplomas, study findings, and marriage licenses for the low donation fee of $1. The four-week study found that participants drank 24% more water with the Better Bottle than a disposable bottle, 18% more than a reusable metal bottle, and 15% more than reusable plastic bottles. I know this study is BS because they didn’t bother including a homemade reusable beer bong.

I actually went there, majoring in physics and minoring in computer science. It’s a real school with the main campus located in Malibu.

You’ve never heard of Pepperdine? How old are you?

    Good school, Better Bottle.

    Terrible joke.

I don’t think Pepperdine is in the Pac 10 of psych schools, but they do have a hella-good law school. So you might want to watch what you say. If you know what I mean.

Pepperdine is a real school, and a fancy one at that.

Meh, I like to let gravity feed me liquids rather than having to create a pressure imbalance in my mouth to move the liquid to me against gravity. Besides, unless you’re working out or in a desert, there is no reason to be dragging that ubiquitous water bottle all over your college campus in the first place. *Puts on cranky old man hat* (I’m 29) “Back in my day if you were thirsty, you either waited until class was over or slipped out to get a quick drink of water. We didn’t need to tote around ‘Nalgenes’” 24% more than what? Remember the 8 glasses a day maxim is a myth, drink when you’re thirsty, and if you’re thirsty all of the time then go to a doctor and find out what’s wrong with you.

Seriously, Rocky. You’ve never heard of Pepperdine? And this sippy cup? It flat out rocks. I have one on my desk right now. Empty. Because I drank all the water already.

As my dad would say: I’m disappointed in you. But as the LDS bishop that I used to work with would say: Love the sinner, hate the sin.

    >>>…so I’ll assume…
d00d, you’ve never heard of Pepperdine? When’s the last time you left Utah?
And any water bottle with a bite valve bites.

Pepperdine I’m sure is an amazing university, being located in Malibu and all. Thank goodness someone is still doing important research. Not like all those other universities dinking around, squandering money trying to cure cancer and all.
