A small study conducted at Arnold School of Public Health has found that eating fruits and vegetables rich in the antioxidant quercetin may boost endurance. They ran the tests on a 12 fit college students, and measured their exercise endurance over 7 days. Students who drank the quercetin-laced Tang saw a 4% increase in oxygen uptake and a 12% increase in ‘ride time’ before total fatigue set in. Forget exercising. I’ll just eat some red onions and put on one of those Breath Right strips at the starting line.
