Grave Robbers Getting Busted on Public Land

The Feds took down a ring of 23 grave robbers running through BLM land pulling out Native American artifacts. The looters had been stealing pottery, sandals, stone knives, and tool, which they would try to sell on the black market. I’ve wondered before about what you’re supposed to do if you found an arrowhead on federal land, and a arrowhead doesn’t sound too different from the ‘stone knives’ theses guys were stealing. I suppose that if you can get fined $25k for picking up an eagle feather, then you should probably keep your mouth shut if you happen to find a couple arrowheads while backpacking.
