Sunlighter Solar Lighter

By Rocky Thompson on May 29th, 2009

There’s nothing like burning a few cigarettes or huddling around a fire while hanging out in the blazing sun on a red hot day. The Sunlighter Solar Lighter uses a reflective dish to concentrate the sun’s rays onto a tinder holder so you can start a fire. It operates on the same premise as a magnifying glass and works pretty quickly in this video. Just don’t wait until after the sun goes down to start your fire since the Sunlighter won’t work with a flashlight. The Sunlighter Solar Lighter sells for about $16.

    Rocky,

Sorry to cook your goat, bro, but the Sunlighter works with a high-powered flashlight (1 million candle-watt powered). And I lit my Marborol off the headlight of my 2008 Tundra using the Sunlighter. I must admitt to you that it took time to lite my smoke, but it sure as hell worked. Try it.
