Backcountry.com’s Andy Anderson has this interesting article on the manufacturing process behind Black Diamond’s carabiners. It’s probably not too far off from other manufacturing processes, but it’s funny to see someone actually putting carabiners together. You want to say, “Hey buddy! Make sure you do a good job on that one!” I’d almost rather go back to believing they come from some magical place where metal never breaks.
