Scapegoat Brand Dies Quietly

By Rocky Thompson on May 19th, 2009

It’s sad to see a company that seemingly did everything right go out of business. Scapegoat made some absolutely killer jackets for a couple years, but the death knell came awhile ago when they were scooped up and assimilated into Scapegoat by prAna. They were then rolled into some kind of “Outerwear by prAna” line and displayed at the Outdoor Retailer, but then earlier this year prAna shut the whole operation down.

This is your last chance to scoop up anything from Scapegoat. Sure, Scapegoat won’t be around to warranty it, but Backcountry.com will refund your money as part of their unconditional 100% unlimited lifetime warranty (it’s on everything we sell through Backcountry.com).

That is really sad to hear. I got to demo a few of their jackets a while back while they were just coming on the market. They made a really good jacket.

Sad to see another good brand go.
