Turns Out That There’s a Biking Hall of Fame

By Rocky Thompson on April 13th, 2009

The Bicycle Hall of Fame will find a new permanent home in Davis, California this year. Never heard of the HOF? Well, you obviously haven’t made the trip to Somerville, New Jersey, a town of 13,000 residents, where the hall of fame currently resides. Davis has yet to choose a place to house the HOF, though an early front runner is the basement of a local teen center. That’s just great. We get all these great bikes donated by Greg LeMond and now we’re going to let a bunch of rowdy teens steal them. On second thought, that’s actually a little bit funny. A teen center basement, though? You seriously can’t do better than that?

Christ that was a painful site. And even better? Completely useless. I though “Oh, hey, it’s in New Jersey. Closer to my home in DC than Davis. Maybe I should check it out. Let’s see, what’s the address?”

I challenge you to find a street address on that site.

I suspect a teen rec center basement will be a step up.
