The Crow Comes Out of Hibernation

One of the most bizarre blogs that I like to follow is As the Crow Flies. It’s written by a female hermit who spends her days hanging out in a cabin well off the grid. She writes her blog with a laptop powered by solar panels, though I’m unclear on how she gets online. She took the winter off from her blog, and from the looks of her latest post it looks like she spent her days rocking back-and-forth in the fetal position while listening to Fast Car by Tracey Chapman. If you haven’t seen the blog, add it to your reader–it’s an interesting look into whatever it is all these hikers are thinking.

    I’ve followed her blog on and off since you’ve mentioned it in the past… Not that my views count for much, but it’s a little like watching the descent of another Alexander Supertramp. Really interesting but depressing at the same time.
