The Animated Knots website is a great resource for anyone who wants to look like they know a hell of a lot more than they actually do. Throw a couple Alpine Butterfly knots together and people will assume you know what you’re doing-even when you anchor a top rope to a dead tree and a couple tent stakes. Animated Knots has vast enough gallery that you can learn how to tie your Full Windsor before hanging yourself with the rarely used Euro Death Knot.
