56-Year-Old Becomes First Woman to Swim Across the Atlantic

I feel like she should have been an unidentifiable skin-pigment-colored prune by the time she arrived. A 56-year-old from Colorado became the first woman to swim nearly 4000 miles from Cape Verde to Trinidad. She did it ‘solo,’ which apparently means you have a sailboat following along tossing you energy drinks and cooking 8,000 calorie dinners. I’m not sure how you get the money for the trip or the time off work, but I guess sharks and not being able to touch bottom while swimming for half a year are also big concerns.
