I went through a brief and ill-advised phase where I would answer, “Just living the dream” whenever someone asked one of those mindless and impractical questions like, “So what’s the good word?” I figured my answer was at least as empty and meaningless. This guy though—he can say ‘living the dream’ and really mean it. My house isn’t even that cool in my dreams.
