Boy Scouts Fire Piston

Our teacher in high school drug class said that marijuana being smoked would smell like burning rope, and I guess he couldn’t be too far off as long as he was talking about hemp rope. In that vein, it makes sense that the Boy Scouts would send their kids into the wilderness with the Scout Fire Piston, which ignites a piece of rope you embed in the steel. If Scouting everywhere else is anything like it was in my hometown, tomorrow’s leaders will love using this thing as a flimsy excuse for the smell in their Eureka tent.
