The 2009 Livestrong Challenge Ride

I’m thinking about joining Team Fatty for the Livestrong ride. I’d have to do it in Philly, and I’ve never been to Philly, which frankly was a streak I’d hoped to keep alive. On day one of the push, Fat Cyclist raised about $10k to fight cancer, and since Monday about 240 people have signed up. The best part (well, not the “best” part) is that you don’t even really have to go to the ride. You can sit on your couch and watch 1980s movies; all you need to do is want to fight some cancer. You can also get a discount through Fatty if you join over the next couple days, and if there’s one thing that I know outdoorsy people love—it’s sweet discounts. Also, you can win fabulous prizes, like a date with dreamboat Lance Armstrong.
