If you live in Europe or you actually smoke cigarettes while you ski, you probably already know that Rossignol makes ski and snowboard clothing, and collaborates with designer Jean-Charles de Castelbajac to make ultra-high-end outerwear. This guy Jean-Charles (a.k.a. JC/DC) is like a French Bill Brasky. He’s a French Marquis, but he was born in Casablanca, Morocco. He dates women with one name like “Mareva”. Once, he made a coat out of teddy bears for Madonna. M.I.A. modeled his clothing for a music/fashion retrospective in Paris. He even did an entire fashion show entirely with LEGO, and had it directed by someone named Fabrice. Freakin amazing. So Rossignol is way more style-conscious than anyone thought, and apparently well on the way to dominating the snowsports universe. The Rossi/JCC line has never been available online, or in the States, until now. Believe it or not, we have it. So go ahead, get your girlfriend something nice (read: bright, costly, and hopefully French).

What does this have to do with hard core gear? I thought the goat was cool WTF.
Who says fashion-forward isn t core? Since when does wearing something that looks like a box but has tech features coming out its ears make a piece that has a little flair not core?! This coat is a fully-taped Gore-Tex shell and it looks darn good, which is pretty cutting edge in my opinion! I would be proud to wear this coat and support the more open-minded, fashion-inclined crowd. I think BC is brave for bringing new brands like this to the U.S..
summitbum doesn t have a clue. Technical is function and style is “form”. Ever hear of form follows function? This JCC/Rossi stuff is every bit as technical as any of the so called hard core gear. I have been wearing it for years! I wear a lot of Kjus and mix the JCC pieces with my Kjus stuff. I can stay warm and comfortable in below zero conditions and still look great! We are not talking heli-skiing here, but inbounds resort wear. Thanks BC for carring JCC/Rossi! I hope you will continue to do so, since next year s collection is the bomb!
