A local Portland drunk didn’t take well to a cyclist’s advice to slow down. Instead, the 37-year-old motorist chased the biker who lost him on some residential streets. Thinking he was safe, the biker returned to the main street only to be run down by the maniacal driver who hit the biker and then drove down the street with the guy on his hood. The driver was sentenced to 45 days in jail and also has to pay the biker $800 for lost time at work. The local Portland KGW has a short video on their site.

I can’t believe the guy only was given 45 days. He’s already served 19 since sitting in jail awaiting trail, so he only has 26 more to go. I guess driving that Escort around is punishment enough.
