Did Burton Steal an Office Chair Design for their CO2 Binding?By Rocky Thompson on October 26th, 2008
Burton’s high-end CO2 Snowboard Binding favored by loads of pros happens to share a lot of design elements in common with a very exciting office chair. And why shouldn’t it? Both are dialed for ergonomics, and you can break your neck riding down steep hills on either of them. Burton’s $350 CO2 bindings look like a steal compared to the $1600 office chair, but both ultimately blow it by not coming with drink holders. The story’s a funny look at how an office chair could have inspired a Burton binding design, but the truth is that no matter how much I look at the picture, I’m just not seeing it.
