HumanCar Runs on Sweat, Blood
By Rocky Thompson on October 6th, 2008
I can’t wait to get stuck behind this thing going over a mountain pass. The HumanCar relies on four people using a rowing motion to move forward while the two people sitting up front steer the vehicle by leaning. The stokers sitting behind the drivers face backwards, which adds a nice element of car sickness you’ve been missing by biking everywhere. The production model will cost about $15k, and right now a couple models are available for corporate campuses at about $35k each. Its top speed is comparable to cyclist’s, only it’ll take a lot longer to get anywhere since you can’t cruise through the red lights.
