Nike+ Shoes with GPS and Pressure Sensors

apple_nike_gps_shoes

Upcoming Nike+ shoes could be outfitted with sensors that diagnose running form and tell you when your soles are wearing thin. A particularly troubling aspect of the technology is that it could be used to alert you when running past stores that sell replacement shoes. The pressure technology would be interesting in the same way that I look at the rise and fall of stock reports that mean nothing to me, but I’m sure it’d be valuable information for competitive runners who lack the benefit of a coach. No word yet on price or availability.

  1. 1 RunningWater

People in the Pacific Northwest should buy these so we can figure out where all those feet floating in running shoes are coming from.
