Outdoorzy snagged this photo of this great canoe at Outdoor Retailer. I never really thought about how canoes are always plain colors, but now I have a theory. Most canoes are still made in Minnesota where long, dark winters beget heavy drinking, zealous Lutherans, and plain-Jane colors. But what happens when a Minnesotan wants to branch out and try something new and crazy? You guessed it—plaid.
