Ha! Even the track bikers that went to the Olympics look like hipsters with their eccentric glasses and cool Nike BEIJING shirts. Pretty soon we’re going to see people rolling around Williamsburg with those face masks. At least these guys made the front page of NYTimes.com somehow. They had the fortune to be the first U.S. athletes to crawl off their plane wearing the super secret pollution masks.
“This is really a surprise because I didn’t think it was going to be such a big deal,” said one of the cyclists.
Really? Have you been living in a cave or the Olympic training facility? I hope Bush wears a mask and one of those cool ATH- LETE shirts at the opening ceremonies.

Bush is proof that all thieves don’t wear masks.

Oh SNAP! Why would China be pissed? The King o Pop wears masks all the time when he’s in China and abroad and no one gets torqued at him! In crowd shots of Japanese cities half of the faces have masks on….Given the sacrifices the athletes make to be in the peak of their ability, they should be allowed to protect their lungs as much as they want. In the article I love the quote that started “I’m not a scientist but…” The one quoted was neither a scientist NOR an athlete so I fail to see why anyone could take what he said for anything more than unfounded opinion.

If they were going to be mad at something, wouldn’t China be mad about our non-Comunist ways? Curse you capitalist pigs!
