MSR claimed the Dragonfly would burn any fuel about 10 years ago, but to burn diesel or viscous fuel you needed to pull a wire out of the tube that ran from the canister to the jet. Brunton achieves the same flexibility with a much cleaner system—instead of disassembling the stove you just twist the burner cup to adjust for fuel viscosity. You’ll be able to burn bio-diesel in the Brunton Vapor AF, so all of your food and the campsite will smell like fries or tempura depending on where you get the vegetable oil—hopefully the bears are hibernating. The Vapor AF Expedition Stove costs about $180.
