Until Garmin makes a GPS unit that tells you where to turn during adventure races, you’ll have to continue using the Lazy Susan of maps. This Adventure Racing Navigation Supplies Rotating Map Holder bolts onto your handlebar and spins around when you need to change the aspect. Quite possibly the nerdiest accessory anyone can currently or will ever be able to buy for a bike, the Handlebar-Mounted Rotating Map Holder costs $55 and weighs 8oz.

wow, thats expensive for an analog accessory. DO NOT WANT! you’re better off with a handheld gps

Yes, a handheld GPS would be better but they’re not allowed in Adventure Racing or Bike Orienteering. So you are much better off with something like this as opposed to having the map hanging around your neck on a piece of string. Its not that expensive for the advantage it gives and its half the price of the European imports..
