Hikers Kill Rabid Bobcat with Geologist Hammer
By Rocky Thompson on April 28th, 2008

A geologist from the University of Arizona (a notorious party school) and his marine biologist wife were hiking in the mountains outside Tucson when a deranged bobcat began stalking them.
Thompson said he knew the cat was rabid the moment he saw it staring at him and Katrina Mangin in the Santa Rita Mountains.
He said they tried to get away but the bobcat pursued them, lunging at Mangin, climbing up her legs and wrapping its body around her, clawing and biting.
They tangled with the cat for about 10 minutes before he clubbed the animal to death with a rock hammer he had on hand. It must have been a pretty exciting afternoon.

No cougar jokes!
“Is anyone where a marine biologist?”
“Is anyone here a marine biologist?” Bad proof-reading.
I would like to kill one of these with my mountain axe and have a nice protein-rich dinner afterwards instead of bringing fishing gear and look like a 55 year old man from Montana. Yeah, baby, hang that fur on your wall, or better - on your head!
Wow that’s love, she married a guy and now lives in Arizona as a MARINE BIOLOGIST. Must be a lot of whales in Lake Havasu.
Secondly I’d say the cat was angry, because his name was actually Doug, but everyone refused to call him Dougcat and insisted on Bobcat. His name was Doug!
