I’m ready to admit that packaging is important to me. These super fat hubs are made with high flanges for 29ers—the shorter spoke length is supposed to improve wheel strength. There’s no word on price or availability of the Knob Creek version of the Chub hub, but a prior version was about $200. This Chub comes in carbon fiber and weighs only about 385g.
