Thank god Timberland pulled the plug on that terminally ill GoLite footwear brand, but it’s almost too bad they had to take the cookie-cutter plastic shoe brand, too. Mion’s stuff wasn’t any worse than Keens—it just wasn’t any different. How many bumper boat shoes do you need? The Flood Tide did everything right and still not enough people bought it to make it worth Timberland’s time to run Mion. I guess we found the limits of the Croc/Keen market. The rest of the brand-death news is even better. Howies and IPath are unaffected, while the useless GoLite shoe brand will follow Mion on the road to extinction.

The “outdoor” uniform has taken a large hit.
I guess we will now have to wear flip fops and sandals - and keep the boat shoes for my grandmother gardens.
