Mion Floodgate Sandal/Shoe

mion-floodgate

Hope you don’t mind weird tan lines. The Mion Floodgate Sandals are made with enough webbing for you to string together an emergency harness or a noose if you ever need to escape from somewhere high above the ground. Treehugger lays the praise on pretty thick since Mion managed to make the sandals from a lot of recycled material, but Mion can’t lay a finger on this guy. The Mion Floodgate Sandals cost about $100.

I am very very sorry to hear that Mion will not be made anymore. I have worn them almost exclusively due to osteoarthritis on the top of one of my feet which was caused by wearing shoes with no arch support for many years during running and dance aerobics. Mion is the ONLY shoe which supports my arch enough to keep me exercising. :o(

These sandals are all that I wear! Soccer games, hiking, around the house, up the creeks, you name it. They’re great!
