I’m too late for this list, plus I heard that global warming means spring colors don’t ‘pop’ like they used to. Maybe you can save Bicycling Magazine’s Top 10 Foliage Rides for next fall. Bicycling Magazine does a good job spreading the Top 10 picks across the East Coast and Midwest—you need to let those people have something, the skiing there is terrible. Too bad about the global warming, but it’s not so bad to look at the pictures—at least you don’t have to pedal uphill.
The entire list is at Bicycling Mag, the Top 5 are:
1. Squaw Pass, Denver
2. John Scott Loop, Winston-Salem, NC
3. Hills in the Mist, West Chester, PA
5. Otisco Lake, Syracuse, NY
6. Mason Neck, Alexandria, VA
(Colorado was #4 again, so I skipped it. I’m sure it was a misprint.)

Hmmm, it seems a little weird to leave the entire west coast out of this. Washington and Oregon look pretty good in the fall, too. I mean, look at this picture…
